Day two of the wedding weekend for Leon and myself started with coffee in our yurt, watching, not eating
, Jenna make the
wedding cupcakes, wandering around Marfa, more coffee and then rehearsal dinner at the Pizza Foundation. After the rehearsal
a few of the guests went back to El Cosmico where they shot cans with BB guns, played horseshoes and drank a few beers.
Jesse and Becca’s Marfa wedding – day one
Pictured below is Jesse, Becca and Max. I grabbed this shot when they stopped by our place just before they made the journey
out to West Texas for their wedding weekend. They had a trunk full of cactus arrangements, and a little spot in the backseat for
Max.
Leon and I, and some close family and friends followed a few days later.
We all met up at El Cosmico, which was serving as a kind of base camp for the weekend. Many of the guests, including ourselves,
would call it home for the next few days. Trailers, yurts, teepees and tents dotted the landscape and, as you will see in the
following posts, glowed in the cool Texas night.
The first night we arrived the town of Marfa was having a homecoming parade. It was awesome.
Then it was on to El Paisano hotel for some dinner.
