My sister got married!

I love my sister Lynne, so it is no surprise I was ridiculously happy when she announced to me that her and her long time partner,
Tammy, were going to tie the knot. They met in Dallas, but moved to Northern California for Tammy’s job in the wine industry
over 5 years ago. They purchased an older house and through a lot of hard work, renovation and good taste created a beautiful home.
The house sits high on a hill and has the most incredible sunrise views. My sister owns and operates Garden of Ease, a landscaping
and design company. Below you can see a fewshots from their garden. This is where they chose to do their wedding ceremony.
But before we get to that I want to share just a couple of photos from the day before the actual wedding day. It was more of a wedding
weekend, filled with wine tours and tastings, yummy food, enormous trees and the ocean. Not to mention family. It had been a
long time since we had all been together, and it was a lot of fun, (that’s a rare photo of me and my brother and sisters). The welcome
dinner took place at The Estate. It was intimate and delicious and the florist, Jessica Switala of Fleurs de France, did an amazing job.

Aubony and Ben’s Villa Antonia wedding

Aubony and Ben were married recently at Villa Antonia, in scenic Jonestown, Texas. It was a classic affair with all the perfect
touches. Buttercup yellow was the color of choice for the day and I loved how it was carried throughout. Bridesmaid dresses
and the groom and groomsmens ties, hand crafted yellow poofs lined the aisle, yellow fabric draped the ceremony pergola,
yellow flowers in the bouquets and to top it all off the cupcakes were dotted with yellow frosting. It was lovely.

Here is a list of the folks that helped make the day perfect:

cupcakes: Michelle”s Patisserie
flowers: Jennifer’s Gardens
caterer: Sterling affairs
music: Aeolus Quartet
DJ: Tunes across Texas
officiant: Suzanne Louzau

Congratulations Aubony and Ben!

Anna and Tripp’s Old Glory Ranch wedding

Anna and Tripp were married a few weeks back on a beautiful day in Wimberly, Texas at Old Glory Ranch. The ceremony
took place at sunset alongside a rushing creek underneath enormous cypress trees. After their first kiss as husband and wife,
Anna and Tripp were driven off down a dusty road in the bed of a white vintage truck. So romantic.

The folks at Old Glory were responsible for the beautiful flowers and table arrangements. I loved the use of fruit, gourds and
vegetables that brought the feel of the fall season to the setting. Stardust Pastries did an outstanding job with the cake, and the
gift bags of the french cookies, macarons.

Others that made the evening a success:

Design by Sage: event planning and coordinating
Don Strange of Texas: catering
The Atlantics: the band
The Rev. Martin Basian

and of course all Anna and Tripp’s friends and family

Congratulations Anna and Tripp!

Lizzy and Nick’s Westwood Country Club wedding

Lizzy and Nick were married  a couple of weeks ago on a beautiful day at the Central Christian Church in downtown Austin.
Nick’s dad is a Reverend so he performed the ceremony. Their reception was held at the well appointed Westwood Country Club.
Abundant and varied floral arrangements were created the Westbank Flower Market, and the Atlantics performed, keeping the
party hopping.

And here I am going to go out on a limb, but I think I am going to have to call Lizzy and Nick one of the best dressed Bride
and Groom’s of the year. I loved Lizzy’s choice of a simple, strapless tea length dress. It was a dress with a beautiful shape, that
was fitted to her perfectly, so never once throughout the day did I see her fussing with it as she moved about and danced with ease.
The Groom wore a custom tailored suit created by Austin’s own Gassane Tailors. It was flawless and he looked great. Now there
is an expense I think is well worth the cost.

Lastly I want to thank Sandy Perkins for her coordinating efforts. Job well done!

Congratulations Lizzy and Nick!
