Jessica and Dan in downtown Austin

Jessica and Dan will be married this weekend, so the energy for this shoot was high. They live in downtown in one of Austin’s many new buildings. Jessica says, ” I fall in love with my city every morning as I drink my coffee and watch the sunrise over Austin.” We wanted to capture some of what they love best about the city, so we wandered around back alleys, visited bars and music venues, and even ran out into the middle of the Congress street bridge. We are looking forward to the wedding and their flower dog!…photos coming soon.

Allison at Green Pastures

I think by viewing the photos below you will be able to tell that we had a good time photographing Allison. She was beautiful and graceful, with a brilliant laugh. We explored Green Pastures fully, shooting in almost every room, (including the tiny bar on the half floor) and outside as well. Craig Fuller of Photosynthesis did a great job on her bouquet and I loved the peacock feathered hair piece you can see in the last photo.

Amy at Austin Seventy One

Amy will be married later this spring at the Riverbend Chapel with a reception at Austin 71, so yesterday was perfect timing for a portrait sitting. Her dress, make up, hair, jewelry and shoes all came together perfectly, not to mention the beautiful bouquet by Verbena Floral Design.

brian and stella sitting in a tree…

I am currently visiting Brian in Los Angeles where he has been spending some time these past few months. He has been taking some time to work on some personal photography projects, landscapes and portraits mostly. You can check out some of what he is doing on his website and blog, 500 Pound Leon.

We found ourselves in the Santa Monica Mountains yesterday, sitting in a tree enjoying the view.

Allyson and Ryan’s wedding

Allyson and Ryan were married this past weekend at the Westlake Presbyterian Church. It was beautiful from the moment you walked in the doors at the church. Coby Neal of The Flower Studio, had set all the bridesmaids bouquets out on a table at the entrance. The color and scent were dazzling.
The flowers continued to amaze me throughout the day. The brides cascading bouquet of white orchids and the ring bearers pillow made of tiny green flowers were simply beautiful.
The reception was held just down the road from the church at the Barton Creek Country Club in the Darrell Royal Ballroom. I couldn’t include all the beautiful images we captured there, but take my word for it the room was fantastic, all pink and sparkling.
I did include a photo of the grooms cake here. The brides cake was gorgeous, and both were delicious, but the grooms cake was incredible. The screen you see placed in this edible stadium was actually playing a Gators game, so cool! Big woo hoo to Simon Lee Bakery.
Now that I have given all my shout outs to all the wonderful vendors we had the opportunity to work with, I want to say thank you to Ryan and Allyson, and their friends and family, who made our job so easy and gratifying.
Congratulations Ryan and Allyson! Wishing you all the best.
